Frequently asked questions
Answers before you even ask — what it costs, how fast we can get there, and what to expect.
What is this going to cost?
Honestly: it depends on what you have, and anyone who quotes a replacement without seeing your system is guessing. But you shouldn't have to call to understand what moves the number, so here it is.
Repairs come down to the part and how long it takes to reach it. Most are a single visit; the common failures — igniters, capacitors, contactors, thermostats — are inexpensive parts, and you'll get the price before any work starts.
Replacements are driven by four things: the size your home actually needs, the efficiency tier you choose, the condition of the existing ductwork and electrical, and whether you're staying with the same system type or switching (a furnace-to-heat-pump change costs more than a like-for-like swap). Financing is available, and you'll see the monthly figure alongside the total.
Whatever it comes to, you get one clear number in writing before anything begins — and nobody here earns a bonus for talking you into the bigger option.
What areas do you serve?
We serve homeowners across Vancouver, WA and the surrounding communities. Not sure if you're in range? Give us a call and we'll let you know right away.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. 777 HVAC is fully licensed and insured (License [LICENSE #]), and every technician who comes to your door is trained and background-checked.
Do you service all major brands?
Yes. We install and service all major heating and cooling brands, including Carrier, Trane, Lennox, Rheem, Goodman, Mitsubishi Electric, Daikin, and Bryant.
How fast can you get here?
For no heat or no cooling, we aim to be out the same day whenever the schedule allows — and if we can't, we tell you straight away rather than leave you waiting. For everything else, usually within a couple of business days. Call and you'll get a real answer about today, not a queue.
Is there a fee just to come out and diagnose it?
Estimates on replacements and new installations are free. For a repair visit there is a diagnostic charge to cover the trip and the time to find the fault properly — you'll be told the exact amount when you book, never after. If you go ahead with the repair, that charge comes off the bill.
How long does a replacement take?
A straightforward furnace or heat-pump changeout is usually a single day, and you'll have heat or cooling again that evening. Jobs involving ductwork, electrical changes or a switch to a different system type can run to two days. You'll be told which one you're looking at before any work starts.
Can I spread the cost of a new system?
Financing is available on system replacements and installations. Ask when we talk and you'll get the current terms and monthly figures alongside the quote, so you can weigh repair against replacement with the real numbers in front of you.
Do I need to be home for the visit?
For the diagnosis, yes — someone over 18 needs to be there to let us in and describe what the system has been doing. For longer installation work you don't need to be present the whole time, as long as we can get in and reach you by phone.
